Arguably the biggest breakthrough in textile  printing technology within the past quarter century, discharge printing has become the preferred method of printing on t-shirts and other styles of active wear. The water base inks contain a bleaching agent which first removes the dyes of the garment allowing the pigments to embed in the fabric, creating a very soft hand or feel.
